STM slipper clutch

Contrary to other or already in series inserted slipper clutches available at the market slipper clutch systems works STM with diaphragm springs and not with conventional spiral springs. Diaphragm springs guarantee a higher pressure on the disk package with smaller force wall at the clutch leverl owing to the degressive spring action. Addional advantage from it is the longer life span of the disks. The axial movement of the clutch basket constantly aligns the disks and thus always forms a maximum of pressure zones. Advantage from this is a smaller wear of the clutch basket. A further substantial advantage is the smaller weight of the STM slipper clutches. Prevented effectively rear wheel temples during the brake phase without that the clutch to be operated must.

Each STM slipper clutch with a vehicle-specific basic tuning, for approx.. 90% all driver fit supplied.
